Facebook just released some some exciting updates regarding the administration of Promotions (Sweepstakes/Contests) on Facebook that will help to streamline the process and make your admins lives a bit easier:
- Facebook will no longer require prior written Facebook approval to administer a promotion on Facebook.
- Facebook will also no longer require a minimum media spend investment to support the promotion.
As a result of these changes, you can now run a promotion on Facebook without working directly with a Sales or Account Management team to obtain permission.
This is great news and should help open the door to smaller advertisers looking to take further advantage of the Facebook platform.
Keep in mind, however, all promotions are still subject to Facebook’s Promotion Guidelines and Facebook Platform Policies.
