As many people can attest, the internet does in fact make doing many things quicker. This would include things like research and receiving news from multiple sources in a matter of minutes. However, what many people will fail to admit or realize is the fact the explosive potential for increased efficiency is largely untapped.

This occurs because we are all too busy social networking to realize that we are not really working. According to Nielsen, as a society we are becoming ‘more social’. It is believed that we spend up to 25 percent of our time online visiting places like Facebook as opposed to actually working as we should.

In fact that is the largest amount of online time that can be determined for any sites visited.

So, what are your thoughts? Do you browse Facebook at work?
