[Breaking]Facebook for iPhone 3.1 Adds Push Notifications

The new app for Facebook for iPhone is now available on iTunes. Newest version 3.1 includes most notably push notifications and address book syncing.

Push Notifications

When downloading the latest version, you’ll be asked whether or not you want push notifications. If opting in to push notifications, i’d recommend turning off email notification for Facebook events to eliminate double notification which could get quite annoying.

Address Book Syncing

This new freature will allow you to sync your Facebook with your mobile address book, including photos.
