Yacebook anyone?

yahoo

Yahoo just announced on their blog that they will be joining forces with Facebook, using FB connect  within the next six months, enabling Yahoo users to see their Yahoo! content like ratings, photos, comments and more on your Facebook stream.

“As the place where over 500 million people visit every month, Yahoo!’s goal is to bring together social experiences from across the web, and provide one place for people to access information and stay in touch with the people they care about most.”

This will also give users the option of updating their profile status on either network. Yahoo is hoping to piggyback the popularity of Facebook and its new valuation as a “commitment to deliver personally relevant internet experiences” says Jim Stoneham, Yahoo’s VP of communities.
